Salzburg: Austria´s paradise of hill farms!
Salzburg is renowned for its numerous hill farms. The farmers of 1800 hill farms cultivate a quarter of Salzburg´s land. Each summer Salzburg´s meadows give home to 67.000 cows, 13.000 sheeps, 3.000 horses and more than 1.000 goats. The choice of mountains inns is peculiar to Salzburg´s countryside. About 550 innekeepeers welcome hikers and bikers every year.
Almost at every place you will be served homemade products like bread, cheese, butter, milk, juice and, of course, our famous "Schnaps". After an exhausting mountain trip you will very much appreciate Austrian hospitality. |
