Founding of Hotel Alpendorf (1975–1978)
The history of today's Aktivhotel Alpendorf began in 1975, when Maria and Anton ("Toni") Unterkofler purchased a plot of land in the Alpendorf district of St. Johann im Pongau. At the time of the purchase, Maria and Toni Unterkofler were working at Katzenbacher Hof in the Stuttgart/Sindelfingen area. Maria Unterkofler was responsible for guest services, while Toni Unterkofler ran a timber business together with his brother.
